More people are using mobile devices more often now than ever before, including surfing the internet and shopping online, so to support our site visitors, Nolo Press Occidental has moved to a new responsive website design that displays well on all devices. Our new website has a unified fresh clean look with easy-to-navigate menus so visitors can quickly find the divorce information and resources they are looking for.
The new Nolo Press Occidental website (www.nolotech.com) includes a new Blog, a Reading Room, and a Divorce FAQ section that comprise over 60 pages of informative content, with articles on topics such as:
- How to Do Your Own Divorce
- Divorce Roadmap: The Route Around the Legal System
- How to Divide Property Without a Fight
- Tax Advice for Your Divorce
- Getting Kids Through a Tough Time
- Funding Your Separation
- Who You Can Call for Help
- How to Keep Your Divorce Out of Court
- Five Obstacles to Agreement and How to Overcome Them
- and much more
The new site design was developed by VR Creative, located in Aptos, California. Project Manager Melissa Smith says, “We wanted the site to appear soothing and comfortable to offset the stress people experience with divorce, so we used soft colors to achieve that effect.”
California attorney Ed Sherman founded Nolo Press in 1971 to publish the first edition of his book “How to Do Your Own Divorce in California.” Since then Sherman has continued updating the book as needed when laws and forms change, and has added several other divorce titles and software to his Nolo Press Occidental product line. Sherman’s books and software have saved the public over a billion dollars in unnecessary legal fees.
